Congratulations to Attorney Scott Breen for receiving the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Western Michigan University, Cooley Law School. This LL.M. in Taxation degree is a multi-year program earned by very few business and tax law attorneys. The LL.M. program includes a specialized curriculum in the areas of corporate and partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, state and local taxation, nonprofit organizations, tax litigation, real estate taxation, and various other specialized areas.
This degree is a complement to Mr. Breen’s already successful business and real estate practice, allowing him to further his ability to provide tax efficient planning techniques and solve complex tax issues on behalf of individuals as well as small and multi-million dollar businesses. Thoughtful, strategic tax planning is critical for all phases of a business’s life cycle including start-up, ongoing operations, and dissolution. Mr. Breen can support the needs of businesses with the formation of the proper type of entity, merger/acquisitions, contract negotiations/drafting, and at the end of the life cycle with the final sale and dissolution of a business.
Our firm would like to congratulate Scott on this very challenging and impressive professional accomplishment.
